The Boone County Economic Development Corporation (Boone EDC) on August 25 hosted Boone County’s inaugural Launch Night, both in-person and virtually. Klooz Brewz based in Lebanon was named winner of this year’s event.
“The Boone EDC’s mission is to bring new businesses to Boone County and to help our existing businesses thrive – and this includes small businesses,” said Rachel Huser, Economic Development Manager. “Especially during these trying times, we are excited to be able to partner with several small business owners to encourage their growth and provide valuable business assistance.”
Klooz Brewz received a $2,500 reimbursable cash grant to be used for business services such as consulting, rent, or website design – so long as they continue to operate or open their business in Boone County.
“We are thrilled to have won the Launch Night grand prize,” said Patrick Klooz, Owner of Klooz Brewz. “This reimbursable grant will help us open our new, family-friendly restaurant and brewery in Lebanon.”
Grace Truck from Zionsville, Maker Factory from Lebanon, McCormick Novelty from Advance, and Zionsville Urban Farms from Zionsville also competed at Launch Night.
Additionally, attendees, both in-person and virtually, were able to vote on the Jackson Investment Group People’s Choice Award. Grace Truck received this cash prize of over $600.
