Lebanon, Ind. – The Boone County Economic Development Corporation (Boone EDC) is asking Boone County residents to participate in a quality of life survey.
“The quality of life survey is designed to gauge how Boone County residents feel about their community,” said Boone EDC Executive Director Molly Whitehead. “The results from the survey will be used to help guide community development efforts in Boone County.”
Last year’s survey indicated that Boone County residents desire outdoor amenities and unique dining options. In response, the Boone EDC launched a restaurant attraction campaign and advocated for the connection of the Big 4 Trail.
The survey takes approximately five minutes to complete. Participants who finish the survey (and provide their contact information) will be entered to win a $50 Amazon gift card.
The survey is open through January 25 and can be found here.

There is a lot of talk about Whitestown and its ” growth “. Yes there is a lot a new homes and new businesses in the are called Whitestown. But Whitestown did not get to be the ” largest growing community in In.” naturally.
It took millions of dollars in legal fees and court cost. to get to what the vast majority of people see. Most people see all of the new homes and businesses, they see what everyone calls ” Whitestown “.
Whitestown itself is an old town. With all of the millions of dollars and legal fees “Whitestown” gained control of a vast amount of land and everyone and everything on the land. Most of the resedents of the area that they TOOK CONTROL OF did not want to be part of Whitestown. But these residents and property owners lost out to the big money people and now are lost in the system. Whitestown governing body got what they wanted—-Control of the land and Control of the taxes.
It is my belief that the governing body of Whitestown privately hopes that the “Old Whitestown ” would just disappear. They wanted to play with the big boys and they did not / do not care how they get the job done.
Whitestown , HAS NOT ONE PUBLISHED PHONE NUMBER. NOT ONE, To me that is very wrong. And when you go to the their government building. It’s like going to a speakeasy. they might imply it is for security, I say it is because they don,t want any interaction with people.
Most, if not, all of the new business construction money, construction company’s, and people come from out side the area. a lot of the employees in those stores come from outside the area. Most if not all of the people making the rules, are not from the Whitestown area
I am for growth, but not the way it has been done. I honestly feel that other locale communities do not have much respect for Whitestown governing body.
