Boone County’s 180 in Color initiative is seeking artists to create a unique, nature-inspired shade structure for Jackson Run Park in Whitestown. Located at 2816 Grassy Branch Drive, this park is a key recreational space, designed to reflect and celebrate the surrounding natural environment.
The custom artistic shade structure will enhance the park’s nature-themed design, incorporating patterns, forms, and colors that resonate with local flora and fauna. The goal is to create a functional yet visually captivating addition, elevating the park’s aesthetic and user experience.
This project is funded by a READI 1.0 grant, blending federal, state, and local funding. Artists are encouraged to apply by October 30, 2024, for the opportunity to contribute to this exciting community enhancement.
