Jamestown Pizza King, located at 49 W. Main Street in Jamestown, IN, is inviting bids for three significant improvement projects as part of the 180 Makeover program. These projects aim to enhance both the exterior aesthetics and functionality of the building through landscaping, lighting, and painting. Qualified contractors are encouraged to submit their proposals by August 23rd, 2024, to participate in this federally funded initiative. Deadline to Respond: Friday, August 23rd, 2024 – 4pm EST

Project Scopes

Project 1: Landscaping 
-Back Yard Repair: Provide fill dirt, seed, and labor to repair bare spots.
-Landscaping: Supply and install perennials, river rock, edging, and labor for the area directly off the back gravel drive.

Project 2: Lighting

Exterior Lighting: Install exterior lighting under the canopy at the front door.
-Exterior Lighting: Install exterior lighting under the canopy at the back door.

Project 3: Painting
-Preparation: Prepare the outside of the concrete building to receive paint, including power washing and filling holes as needed.
-Painting: Provide materials and labor for one (1) coat of primer and two (2) coats of commercial outdoor paint, per recommendations of the paint supplier.
-Equipment: Include rental of any lift equipment needed to access building height and miscellaneous supplies.

Note: Specifications must include/allow for “or equal” substitutions of brand name products per 2 CFR 200.319.

Bid Response Requirements
– Outline the expected timeline (projects must be completed no later than September 30, 2025).
– Provide the firm’s relevant qualifications, certifications, or licenses.

Payment Terms:
The project is funded by the 180 Makeover program, a federally funded program (ARPA), and is reimbursement-based.
Contractors will submit payment requests to the sub-recipient (municipality), which will then request payment from the state.
In addition to an invoice, contractors must submit photos of the work performed with each invoice.
The first invoice is anticipated to take an average of 45 days to process, with subsequent invoices typically moving through the system quicker.
