Lebanon, Ind. – The Boone County Economic Development Corporation (Boone EDC) announces the hiring of Amy Hammerle as Workforce and Community Development Manager and Emma Lamb as Marketing and Administrative Assistant.

Hammerle will create solutions that address local workforce challenges and champion creative placemaking efforts throughout Boone County.

“As Workforce and Community Development Manager, Amy will lead talent attraction and retention efforts on behalf of Boone County. She will work to better match people with available jobs and skills, match potential employers with available workforce, and help people move to the next level in their career,” said Boone EDC Executive Director Molly Whitehead.

A Boone County native, Hammerle most recently served as Area Northwest Volunteer Engagement Coordinator for United Way of Central Indiana. Prior to that, she was Director of Marketing for Witham Health Services. Hammerle has a bachelor’s degree in public health from Purdue University.

“Working in Boone County for over 24 years has provided me the opportunity to build relationships with many businesses and individuals throughout the county,” said Hammerle. “My goal as the new Workforce and Community Development Manager is to continue to strengthen these relationships to build a stronger workforce for Boone County.”

Lamb will provide support to the Executive Director and Director of Marketing and Communications. Lamb, also a Boone County native, will graduate in May from Indiana Wesleyan University with a bachelor’s degree in strategic communication.

“As Boone County and our organization continue to grow, adding Emma to our team will help us tell our story to a larger audience,” said Whitehead.

“I have lived in Boone County all my life, and have had the opportunity to watch as it grows with the businesses that locate here,” said Lamb. “I am excited to use my background in communications and marketing to work with the Boone EDC, and join a team focused on positively impacting the community.”
