At Boone EDC, we love seeing local dreams come to life, and the opening of SubDaze, LLC at 640 S Main Street S-300 in Zionsville’s South Village is one of those exciting moments. The familiar space, once occupied by Sub 16, now welcomes SubDaze, a new locally-owned sandwich shop with a big mission: to bring fresh, quality food and a friendly, down-to-earth atmosphere to the heart of Zionsville.
SubDaze is the latest creation from local entrepreneurs Donny and Kas Miller, who brought us Fundae’s Ice Cream & Sweets back in 2018. Their mission? To make SubDaze a gathering place where families, friends, coworkers, and solo diners alike can enjoy a great meal. According to Donny and Kas, this new venture began as a community-driven opportunity to fill a void they personally felt when Sub 16 closed.
“When Sub 16 closed, we saw an opportunity to fill a gap,” the Millers shared. “We were there several times a week and knew Zionsville needed a spot like SubDaze. Our vision is to make this a place for family, friends, coworkers, and everyone in between to come together and enjoy something as simple and delightful as a really great sandwich.”
SubDaze’s journey to launch received support from Boone EDC through our microloan program, which empowers local businesses to grow and thrive right here in Boone County. For Donny and Kas, Boone EDC’s involvement went beyond financing—it was about connection, community, and shared commitment to the local economy. Reflecting on their experience with Boone EDC, the Millers said, “Boone EDC looks beyond what’s on paper to understand the real needs of the community. Their support for small business has been instrumental in our journey, dating back to the opening of Fundae’s. Without Boone EDC, we wouldn’t be where we are today.”
Jessica Schwarz, Boone EDC’s VP of Economic Development, spoke about the joy of supporting this new venture: “It’s a joy to see a small business like SubDaze come to life, especially with local entrepreneurs who are so dedicated to their community. Donny and Kas have already created a gathering place with Fundae’s, and we’re thrilled to support them in this new venture, knowing it will add so much value to Zionsville’s South Village.”
We’re excited to see SubDaze take off, joining Fundae’s as another local favorite built on passion, quality, and community spirit. With a menu focused on fresh, high-quality ingredients and a welcoming atmosphere, SubDaze aims to become a new go-to spot in Zionsville. Whether you’re grabbing lunch with coworkers or spending a Saturday afternoon with family and friends, SubDaze offers a place to slow down, savor a great meal, and enjoy those small, memorable moments that make life special.
Welcome to Zionsville, SubDaze! We can’t wait to see what’s next for the Millers and their latest venture. Stop by 640 S Main Street S-300, Zionsville, and check out the newest addition to South Village.
